Bailey Smart-Zimmerman grew up in Seattle, having moved from his birthplace of Los Angeles at a young age. His childhood was spent camping, constantly reading fantasy books, and acting in theater productions such as Dylan Thomas’s “A Child’s Christmas in Wales.”
In September of 2015, he left Seattle to become an ensemble member with the Tom Todoroff Conservatory, in New York City. During that time, Bailey was honored to learn from masters such as Stephen McKinley Henderson, Andrew Wade, and Giles Foreman. Bailey graduated from the Conservatory in May 2017, having completed the comprehensive two-year program of instruction which included Stanislavski Method, improvisation, Alexander Technique, speech, theater and film history, acting for the camera, and advanced scene study.
Since graduating, Bailey has gone on to act in several features including Tequila Flavored Cigarettes and Fair Haven, and his most recent short, Friendly, directed by Matthew Panepinto.
Bailey most recently produced and starred in a modern day take on The Adventures of Tintin, a short love letter to the classic Belgian character, alongside award-winning director Bobby McGruther.
